Deinonychus Definition

Deinonychus is a genus of theropod dinosaurs that lived about 115 to 105 million years ago, during the Early Cretaceous period. It is one of the best known non-avian dinosaurs due to its well-preserved fossils and is often featured in popular media as a predatory dinosaur with distinctive curved claws on its hind feet.
